CALTRANS iEWB Access

Now that Internet Explorer is going away, we are having to switch to Microsoft Edge to launch iEWB.

Here are some tips when trying to login to the iEWB system.

· Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer mode

There is also an option to login that doesn’t require a browser:

· JNLP WebStart Beta Test link

Since Internet Explorer is being retired by Microsoft, we need to start using Microsoft Edge to launch iEWB in IE mode (see attachments). Try opening up Edge directly and enter the iEWB webpage address: (http://ewb-prod.dot.ca.gov/forms/frmservlet?config=ewbprod).  If it doesn’t work, please try the steps below.

You can also use the JNLP link that does not require a web browser to launch: http://ewb-prod.dot.ca.gov/forms/frmservlet?config=ewbprod_ws . If you have the JNLP file downloaded and that is not working, the issue may be related to the version of Java installed.  Make sure the Java version you are using is 32-bit, not 64-bit (Java Downloads for All Operating Systems).

If your issue is related to security, you need to add the iEWB path (http://ewb-prod.dot.ca.gov/forms/frmservlet?config=ewbprod) to the Exception Site List (How can I configure the Exception Site List? (java.com)).
